
Standard Jazz Vocalist
Isabella Hallia is a Montreal-based jazz vocalist and McGill University graduate (Bachelor of Jazz Performance) known for her lyrical voice and warm, resonant tone. As bandleader of her quartet and trio, she performs self-arranged selections from the Great American Songbook alongside original compositions.
Career highlights include performing at Carnegie Hall at just seventeen, winning the Jury's Favorite Award at the American Protégé International Competition, opening for Madeleine Peyroux at the 45th Montreal International Jazz Festival and the Umbria International Jazz Festival in Italy, and headlining at Montreal's iconic Upstairs jazz club.
In 2024, Isabella released three Live Session Recordings, leading to a 2025 summer tour of jazz festivals across Quebec and Ontario. A familiar and beloved presence at North Hatley Jazz since the very beginning, she continues to be part of this festival's story as she completes her debut album, Isabella Hallia: A Formal Introduction, set for release in June 2026.
